keywords should be used for search engine optimization rather than pay per click because of the high cost to marketers. For example, the NY travel agency responsible for the research found that terms like “Michigan Travel” and “Michigan Beaches” were much more cost-effective for search engine optimization.
For organic search, the high volume terms are a must have but they are, quite simply, too expensive for the ROI of PPC ads. They could be used in a test phase for a new campaign, but not in the long-term.
From there, the next key is to take a hard look at the content on your website to ensure it is optimized as much as it can be. All of the site content should be updated so that it is optimized with those new, expensive search terms. As the content is being optimized, check in with any partner websites to create a publishing strategy. Marketers can suggest future content and explain the new keywords that should be used.Tags: high volume, marketers, michigan beaches, michigan travel, pay per click, search engine optimization, search terms, seo ppc, target, test phase, travel agency, volume terms
