Blog comments - add value or keep schtum

powerful tools for driving traffic and engaging consumers and even if you don’t have one you can use other blogs to raise awareness for your product or service by leaving comments. Just because you don’t have a blog doesn’t mean you can’t be involved in the blogosphere. There are several ways in which you can add value to a blog while giving out positive reputation vibes.

An often used, and abused, way of drawing attention in a blog is to leave a comment. The key to leaving comments on blogs is to make them relevant to the post and of interest to readers. Hard sells are unwelcome, as are empty comments, lengthy signatures, excessive links and dominating (or spamming) the comment board.

The goal is to become engaged, to contribute relevant content and earn respect – a long-term but worthwhile strategy.

Other ways to be a part of the blogosphere include giving exclusive interviews or information to bloggers. Ultimately, the best way to enter the blogosphere is to build your own blog and start networking.
